The Band’s Vision
This was the band’s first studio recording. They were looking for a raw alternative rock sound with modern production elements – direct, energetic, and deliberately not too polished.
The Challenge
The goal was to preserve the band’s energy and untamed character. The mix needed to sound powerful and defined without becoming too smooth or overproduced.
My Approach
I focused on maintaining the natural live feel, giving the drums and guitars more impact and placing the vocals more clearly in the mix – without polishing away the rough edges and punk-inspired charm.

Hi, I’m Nikolai Hramzow — founder and mixing engineer at Hramzow’s Studio.
Since 2023, I’ve been helping rock bands and artists develop their own signature sound — with punchy drums, powerful guitars, present vocals, and above all: character.
In 2025, my work was honored with a special award for rock mixing at the HOFA XMAS MIX CONTEST.
